Easton’s little friend Nathan rode the bus home with him the other day so they could play together for a few hours.  They always play so well together!

Reese was feeling a little left out when they told her not to come in their room, so we invited Wendy to come play too.  The boys played HexBugs and Pokemon, and the girls played Squinkies.  Later the four of them came out into the living room and they all played some Skylanders on the Wii.  The little girls colored some giant pages out of a book Reese got for Christmas and then glued jewels onto them.  I think they all had a good time.

IMG_7833resizedThe kids and I have gone to a couple of sign language classes, and we’ve had a lot of fun with them.  They had us do a few games where the teacher would sign a color and we each had to find something different in the room that was the same color and run to touch it, and another game that was like the telephone game where we signed the secret word to our teammates one at a time to see if we could get it right.  The kids have done really well remembering their signs, and we can’t wait for the classes to start up again.

(This next one is Reese telling me that this was the last picture, haha!)

IMG_7823resizedWe’ve done really well on our goal of reading the scriptures every night before bedtime.  Sometimes it’s only for a few verses, but the kids are enjoying it and remind us to do it.  They have some little stickers to put on the calendar each time we read so I think that helps.  It might take us a few years but eventually we might make it through the Book of Mormon!
