4th of July

I’ve fallen behind and can’t seem to make myself want to catch up on my blog.  Maybe it’s from the heat…today was 97 degrees I think I heard.  It’s too hot to go outside during the day and the kids are getting so bored!  Last night we went to the greenbelt for a bike ride (and I walked) around the lake.  It was a nice night and we had a great time.  Here are a couple pictures from the 4th of July.  The kids and I were home for the day, and then when Joe got off work we went to watch the fireworks at Jensen’s Grove.

We love piling into the back of the truck to watch the fireworks with a mattress and blankets.  It’s getting to be a pretty tight fit for all of us… I’ll be sad when we can’t all fit any more!

I found this lonely little tortoise the next day.  Doesn’t he look sad?!  He can rest easy knowing that he gave our family a good 20 seconds of enjoyment, at least.
