Caterpillar Sprinkler

I made it out to pick up my kids from my mom the other day just in time to see them all heading outside to play in the sprinkler.  Atrion wasn’t a huge fan of getting wet, at least not until he had his little t-shirt on and then he was much more brave.  Reese would run through and then skip back to her towel to warm up in between runs.  Easton was pretty much glued to the sprinkler the whole time and would direct the nozzle either towards Reese so she would get wet, or away from Atrion so he would stay dry.

Mom and Dad brought out the tent and were very disappointed when the kids only got into it for 5 minutes at lunch time.  We tried dragging it around to where the sprinklers were to see if that would help.  Atrion went in for a minute, but that’s about all the use it got.  I’m surprised, because Cody, Shy, and I used to live in our tent when it was up.

Easton and Atrion are pretty much glued together.  Atrion loves Easton so much and stays right by him when we come out to visit.  I can’t remember exactly how it was worded, but mom told me something about how she told Easton that she gets tired when she watches Atrion, and it’s nice to have Easton there to help.  He told her, “I get tired too, but I just never give up!”

Atrion was a little wary of Joe when we went out there yesterday for Father’s Day.  He kept hiding behind people and shyly looking over at Joe.  Someone found a ball to bring into the living room and then Atrion thought it was the funniest thing to throw it at Joe and then try to catch it when it came back.  When someone would catch the ball he would laugh hysterically and shout, “Good job!”  Another funny thing he said was when he saw that my parents were planting flowers.  He asked what they were doing, and when they told him he exclaimed, “Oh, my!”
