Reesie had her preschool graduation tonight and it was the cutest thing! Her teachers really went to a lot of effort to make it a fun night for everyone. They had the program in the gym of a church and it was decorated really cute, and the program that the kids performed was adorable. This next picture makes me laugh…Reese’s friend just got there and she was waving to her!
They started out with an introduction of the kids, and did the pledge of allegiance (we might need to work on which hand to use, haha!). They sang the ABC song, the Bumble Bee song, Days of the Week, 5 Little Monkeys, Tiny Tim, the Smile song, and Pearlie Shells.
Reese had a little part…”My favorite part about preschool was painting.”
The Pearly Shells song was my favorite. It was a Hawaiian song, and Elden Archibald sang and accompanied them on a ukelele…so cute! We used the curly hair piece for Reese’s hair and it got in the way several times because they used a bunch of cute hats, but it looked really cute on her. When they were changing to put the flower clips in their hair for this song, Reese was helping her friend Wendy put hers in her hair.
They did a little thing at the end where they talked about each student and told some things about each one. I can’t remember all of what they said about Reese, but it was about how much she likes to color do crafts, and loves anything “princess”. She also said that Reese wants to be a cook when she grows up.
Reese is really going to miss Miss Joni and Miss Allyson at Smartie Pants. I loved that Reese came home with some sort of craft project every day…that’s her very favorite thing to do and they don’t do much of that at school anymore with all of the budget cuts. They made it a fun year for Reese…I can’t believe she’s moving on to kindergarten in the fall, (sob!)
